Issues adding debit card to Apple Pay

I keep having issues linking my debit card to Apple Pay. My bank says they activated it but it still won’t work on Apple Pay.

I guess I don’t understand what you mean by adding it manually. I go into my settings, clicked on my picture profile, went to payment and shipping and added my card as a payment method. I entered all of my card and billing address information and saved it. Is there some other way of doing this?

Adding my debit card is not a problem. Linking it to Apple Pay is where the issue lies.

Yes, I’ve called them 3 times to confirm that Apple Pay has been activated on my card and they keep telling me it has.

So, the card is in your Apple Wallet and you’re trying to add it too your Apple ID Account?

I have been able to save the card to my wallet but I get the error message when I click on the link it button.
