Hello, hoping someone can help me with a solution that's not too technical.
Every time I eject an external storage device or mp3 player, the device looks like it's ejected & then quickly remounts before I unplug with a message saying to eject properly before unplugging.
Tried ejecting from the finder & dragging to the bin but having to resort to shutting Mac down..
Using a MacBook Air with Sonoma
MacBook Air (2018 – 2020)
In Disk Utilities >> View All Devices
Much like in image below
Choose the Upper Most External Drive by the Manufactures Name
Notice the sideway arrow
Click that which should Eject the Drive
Once it disappears in Disk Utility
What exactly happens next ?
It should work as you have described
But like may things, there are more than one way to Eject a Mounted External Drive / Device
Control click the drive / device
A Sub Menu should appear like in image below
Choose the Eject option
Give it some time ( a few seconds ) to disappear form the desktop
Thank you but the same thing is happening. It first appears to have ejected & straight away appears again with the same message :(
