Multitasking/App Switcher broken iOS 17.3

Updated to iOS 17.3 the other day and now I can't switch apps via multitasking. Worse yet, I rebooted my 13 Pro Max and now when I close apps, there is lag before it closes. Phone is basically unusable at this point and I'm thinking about doing a full wipe. Anyone else running into this?

Multitasking problem in IOS 26 There is a slight discomfort in using multitasking on IPad iOS 26 on iPad iOS18 was much more comfortable and was preferable for some artists or some who worked using a reference on the side. with iPad iOS 26 it is different and we do not have that multitasking. iPhone 16 Pro lagging since iOS 26 update I bought my iPhone 16 Pro 256GB in early May this year. Everything was running smoothly until I installed iOS 26. After the update, my phone started lagging — both in apps and on the home screen. I thought it just needed some time to settle, so I waited for iOS 26.1 hoping it would fix the issue. Unfortunately, even after updating, the phone is still lagging. Is there any solution to this problem?
