Audio iMessages not transcribing

Hello,

Me and my wife have iPhones and they're both on iOS17.

When she sends me audio iMessages, we both can see the audio being transcribed. However, when I send audio iMessages, they are not transcribed. Anyone have this issue?

Phone is up-to-date on the latest iOS. I did reset network and such and still.

iPhone 8 Plus, iOS 15

I figured out, to anyone coming in the future. You have to have Siri enabled in order for the iMessages to transcribe your audio iMessaged.
