Printer turns on whenever I activate my MacBook

Recently, I ran the scanner on my Canon wireless printer by opening it from the System Settings menu. Now whenever I activate my MacBook, the printer starts up. Is there some way that I can prevent that from happening.

MacBook Pro 14″, macOS 14.2

You can remove the printer and set it up again for issue

If it is listed as AirPrint printer, delete the existing printer, and add it again, select AirPrint.

AirPrint compatible. If so, add the printer using the Bonjour connection instead of using the drivers
