WhatsApp video status are still not playing sound via the speaker phone. Other apps play sound perfectly.
App deleted and reinstalled.

Same issue. It looks this issue started with the last IOS software update, before the update the silent mode on the phone didn’t affect the WhatsApp’ status. Now, if the silent mode is on, the WhatsApp status is silent. This is not happening with the rest of the apps only on WhatsApp status. Very annoying.

Wheew! I thought I was going crazy. WhatsApp support said that they were also aware of this issue and their team is working on the issue.
