SONOMA losing window contents - I have to logout to reset it

Every once in a while, all of my windows in various apps, including Apple apps like Find My, Microsoft apps like Word and Edge, and more have a problem where various controls and elements of windows disappear. The window is still apparent, and some of the "chrome" is still there, but the actual contents, especially text, is missing. In fact, it might be all the text that's missing -- it drew a map for me, but was missing the labels on the map.

If I logout and login, the problem is cleared.
