Duplicating documents in Pages

I am working with Pages application on my Mac and I duplicated a master copy of the document. If I have several duplicates, is there a way for them to retain all the future changes I make to my Master copy? Is there a way to do this?

Each duplicate document tracks its own changes via versions and autosave.

I never make duplicates as it gets out of hand rapidly. Instead, I ensure that the master Pages document is consistently backed up to Time Machine every hour my Mac is on, and that I know that I can review individual revisions of the document via File menu : Revert To : Browse All Versions…

ok. thank you. let me rephrase my question a little bit...

So I am writing a book with pages. I have a Master Manuscript that I duplicated three times and deleted the unnecessary portions in each one to create three volumes PLUS my Master. Now, later, in the Master, I wanted to make some changes to the Table of Contents.

If I change it in the Master, would that change the TOC for all three volumes, or would I have to do that separately?
