Solution to Apple iOS defect: iPhone Alarm Won't Play Downloaded Song

As was reported in Phone won't play selected song as alarm - Apple Community

I am writing to confirm the solution as presented:

Ensure your desired Alarm song is downloaded
Goto Settings -> Music
Select "Audio Quality"
Select "Lossless Audio"
Set Cellular Streaming, Wi-Fi Streaming, and Downloads to "High Quality"
Set Alarm using downloaded song
Confirm it plays downloaded song

This is hack addresses a change in behavior from previous iOS releases where Alarms play songs as the ringtone. The root cause is an unknown software defect.

Thank you to whomever figured this out as the default Alarm ringtone which is the only thing that plays is awful.

Oh No! I just discovered a side effect defect associated with this solution I want to make you aware of:

If you use this hack, and your song isn't downloaded, your alarm doesn't go off at all.

I have a vibration set to "Heartbeat" which is a haptic. If the song isn't downloaded, neither the Haptic/Vibration nor the undownloaded song, or any audible gets played.

There is no visual saying the Alarm has gone off, with the typical Snooze or Stop options.

Simply, absolutely Zero happens at the allotted time. I've tested multiple times to be sure. I've reached out to Apple.
