Have placed my UNITED boarding pass in my apple wallet many times, for years. this time, the boarding pass in the app does not show the "ADD TO APPLE WALLET" thing. It's just not there. I restarted the phone--and still not there.
How do I get that to appear on the boarding pass again, as it has for years?

I had the same issue. It seems United deleted the option in their app. You now need to go into the united app and press the boarding pass button. No more Apple wallet.
Last time I flew they changed planes and my seat was different…it updated the boarding pass automatically in the United App. I don’t remember the same thing happening in the wallet.

Community members have reported that United changed the User Interface of their app and changed some functionality. You have to slide up from the bottom a panel from the United app (not Wallet app) to see the button to add boarding passes.
