ip's

im thinking to buy an airport extreme, but my isp uses either
1) ethernet connection

or

2)USB
thats the way i can connect to internet, but in both cases i have to use a dinamic ip, they say that the server assigns an ip to my computer and that theres no static ip, a friend of mine has a mac with an operative system lower than than 10.0
of course mac, but he told me in his mac no dinamic ips can be assigned,
can i use dinamic ips with a mac???
can i use dinamic ips with air port extreme???

anyone please help ! ! ! !

The simple answer is "yes" - the airport will quite happily work with a dynamically assigned IP address from your ISP.

If the Airport is set up to create a network in your home then the default address range that it will assign to your computer will be in the 10.0.n.n range.

That address is only visible within your home network - the Airport will look after ensuring your communications with the outside world use the IP address given by your ISP.
