I migrated the contents of my old computer to my new Macbook Pro. I want to keep the old one for my grandkids to use. I was erasing my notes on the old one and they also disappeared on the new computer. Yikes, I needed those. How do I clean up my old computer without loosing all my files on the new one?

If you were using iCloud to sync those notes, then you can try using the instructions in the following article to recover them, otherwise you would need to recover them from a backup you made prior to deleting them.
