Forgot his Lock Screen passcode?

If you forgot a passcode that he changed within the last 72 hours, see the following for instructions: Temporarily use your old passcode when you forget your new passcode on iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

Otherwise, there is an Apple article that explains what to do if he has forgotten an iPhone or iPad passcode. Click on the following link: If you see an iPhone or iPad unavailable message or Security Lockout screen - Apple Support

If that is not an option, he will need to use a computer. See: If you forgot your iPhone passcode - Apple Support

or forgot his Apple ID/iCloud password?

There is an Apple article that explains what to do if you have forgotten your Apple password. Click on the following link: If you forgot your Apple ID password - Apple Support

Thank you , he got the password of the associated ID but not the EMAIL ! So the answer will be … prove of purchase to Apple . Inside an Apple Store I guess ?

Per Apple: "If you need help removing Activation Lock and have proof of purchase documentation, you can start an Activation Lock support request."

You will want to present your original proof of purchase from Apple or an authorized reseller.

With that, Apple will usually unlock.

Yes he is trying , but after the accident the new owner can’t remember anything

Making some inferences and some assumptions… I’ll also assume you know the buyer too, as this can be part of a scam.

If you still have the original proof of purchase, refund the purchase and retrieve the iPhone, then contact Apple Support for the unlock, and find a buyer that needs less support.

Consider that if this (known to you?) buyer is already in trouble here, whether using the usual iPhone user interface or the available Assistive Access user interface will be all that much help?
