You might want to check whether your Mac has very little memory / storage space free in which to operate smoothly. Eg: A Mac generally needs around 50Gb free in which to do everything you ask it to do.
Click the Black Apple icon in your Mac's top Menu bar > About this Mac > Storage
More info: See used and available storage space on your Mac - Apple Support
Re: "This internal drive ‘APPLE HDD HTS541010A9E662 Media’is full - what does that mean!"
Haven't experienced that myself, so I do not know for sure. (Media generally means photos, videos, music, etc.)
If you find your Mac does needs more free / available space : It is wise to first back up everything on your Mac:
That way, you can recover anything you find you need after deleting items to make space available.
If needed: Back up your files with Time Machine on Mac - Apple Support
or
How to: Connect and use other storage devices with Mac - Apple Support
To clear more storage space on your Mac, you may want to follow the guidance in the article below:
Eg: says: "Choose Apple menu > About This Mac, click Storage, then click Manage"
See: How to: Optimize storage space on your Mac - Apple Support
NB: Be sure to empty the Bin, before you finally check, in order to see the corrected storage amount on Mac.

If installed: Try turning off (or uninstall using the developer's uninstaller) any non-Apple (third-party) apps such as virus-checkers, ad-blockers, cleaners, and the like,. Even VPN can cause issues. See if there is an improvement in your mac's performance.

All the best :-)
