Photo edit in magic movie (iphone)

Hello! Could somebody please help me with magic movie on my iphone. My goal is to display the whole photo that is originally in portrait orientation, and to add blurry sides. It is no issue with video but the photos I just can ´t force to display like this. Instead, I only have small landscape part of the original photo displayed. I think I saw once a trick how to do it by editing size of photo. Can anyone help, please? All the tips I found are either for mac or classic imovie, not the magic movie, which is different. Thank you!

iPhone 15 Pro, iOS 17

In Magic Movie on iPhone there appears to be no feature for overlaying a Picture in Picture onto another photo. The overlay feature does exist in the normal iPhone iMovie.

As a workaround, you might try creating the overlay in the normal iPhone iMovie, exporting it, and then importing it into the Magic Movie project.
