Bought new iPad 9th gen and downloaded all the apps successfully. Issue I have is regarding Facebook and I have lost all my FB friends that are still on my iPhone 11 and all the old posts. What did I do incorrectly

Facebook is a third party app. It holds all your "friends" and data on their servers.
Sounds like you created a completely new Facebook account, rather than logging in with the one you had on your iPhone 11.
Did you use the same email address an password for Facebook as the one you were using on the iPhone 11?
You may want to contact Facebook support for help with their app and service.
If you say you have set up your new iPad then you have done it correctly.
Im sorry you have lost your Facebook friends but I can’t help you as it is for Facebook to sort out! Try to log in and then out again but contact Facebook!
