Bought a practically MAXED OUT Mac Studio Apple M2 Ultra with 128 GB Ram, yet Safari is out of Memory??? Seriously?

This is the most expensive computer I've ever bought in my life. It's a $6,000+ machine.

Yet I still get this message in SafarI??? How can that be? It's just on a Google Drive page. Totally ridiculous. After all, what good is 128GB of RAM if you get messages like this in Safari? And with an M2 Ultra chip?

And of course my magic mouse won't scroll in Safari but will in Firefox and Chrome. Apple seems to be dropping the ball here.

Two Cents here running a minor M2 MBA with 8 GB RAM and 500 GB SSD - Sonoma 14.3

Never had a Run Out of Memory issue in Safari and / or Firefox both at the same time.

Use the Activity Monitor application and make sure to use View >> View All Processes

What process or processes are using the Most CPU  and Memory.

Often times - the issue maybe not a single Process  alone but a combination of Processes

Also, when the computer is using so much CPU / Memory - it can be an indicator of a Lack Of Empty Spaces on the Drive.

In which case, the CPU and Memory usage would become much more because it is searching for Empty Space to save all the Changes the user is performing.

Also, it depends on the number of  Open Tabs in your Browser or Browsers, they can also affect CPU / Memory Usage.

Something else is going on. My wife's iMac M1 with 16 GB memory has over 40 Safari windows open, and she uses a Magic Mouse which scrolls fine. But she doesn't use Google Drive.

I tried an experiment with a 2010 MacBook Pro with 4 GB memory, opening 20 windows with Safari. It continued to function fine (no Magic Mouse, no Google Drive).

What else do you have installed?
