Automatic iCloud backups fail since iOS 17.2, manual backups work - Help?

Beginning the week of 12/11/23, automatic iCloud backups have failed on my iPhone 15 Pro Max (currently on 17.3) - "some files were unavailable during the last backup." However, if I initiate a manual backup, they tend to work (with an occasional fail, but that's rare). The issue persists on 17.3. I have done the following:

-Toggled the iCloud backups to off, restarted the phone, then turned back on.

-Simply turned the backups off and immediately back on.

-Done a hard reset.

-Deleted the existing backup and created a new one. It completed successfully, but automatic backups continue to not complete and provide the same error message.

I use a MagSafe charger at night that is on 0.0.2.58 firmware. I will try a USB-C and see if there is any difference.

At this point, I am triggering manual backups daily, or as often as I think to, but this is frustrating. The timing seems to coincide with iOS 17.2, but I'm looking to determine if anyone else is experiencing this or not. I have filed a report with Apple and expect it's a "wait for an update" scenario, but if anyone has advice, I'd be grateful.
