Apple iwatch series 9 screen protectors 45mm - Are they different from previous 45mm models?

I ordered some screen protectors, the 3d glass type - but when I fit it does not want to sit correctly, I cannot remove the air trapped and also cannot then do screen depressions properly to enter watch passcode. The ones I bought say 45mm and it says fits 7, 8 and 9

Looking for responses from those who have fitted any successfully please
