can i leave my mac mini running time machine without a monitor active

I have a Mac mini beside my main workstation running only Time Machine, however, I would like to unplug the monitor and leave the Mac mini running like that. I want to plug the monitor into my main workstation (MacBook Pro). I tried using an extended display mode but it is very smooth and had other issues. My concern is would it affect the Mac mini negatively?

Mac mini, macOS 13.4

There should be no issue doing what you plan. Just be sure to enable Screen Sharing on the Mini so you can access it from your other Mac.

FWIW, I have a MacMini running 24/7 without a display as a file server and access and maintain it from my other Macs using Screen Sharing.

So, first set up Screen Sharing to make sure your other Mac can access it, then unplug the display.

BTW, there are also other apps available that can allow remote control of your Mini beside Screen Sharing that have additional features and abilities.
