Apple won't replace iPhone SE battery

I took my SE phone to Apple Store. They said it was too old to replace the battery. How do I find in writing what Apple's battery replacement policy is?

Mac mini, macOS 14.2

Regarding Vintage products.......

"Owners of iPhone, iPad, iPod, Mac, or Apple TV products may obtain service and parts from Apple service providers, including Apple Store locations and Independent Repair Providers, for a minimum of 5 years* from when Apple last distributed the product for sale."

The SE was discontinued in September 2018.

"Service and parts may be obtained for longer, as required by law or for up to 7 years*, subject to parts availability."

The authorized Apple repair shop that I use tells me that they can no longer obtain replacement batteries for the 1st Generation SE. That may also have been the case for the Apple Store that you visited.

It is possible....but also unlikely.....that another authorized Apple repair shop in your area might still have an SE battery in stock.

You can find a list of authorized shops in your area using this link: Find Locations

You might also consider using a non-authorized shop for the battery replacement. Battery Health settings will probably not work, but you might get another year or two of use out of the SE.

Good luck.
