HomePod mini interfering Mac Pro (late 2013) access to DNS server

I have a late 2013 Mac Pro running Monterey 12.7.3. Has been accessing internet trough cable modem and Airport wifi with no problem for years. I recently added a HomePod Mini to my wifi network. It causes no issues with other MacBooks, iPhones, iPads, etc. The 2013 Mac Pro on the other hand looses access to the internet. I can can re-establish connection using the following, but it doesn't last for long. The only way to stop the behaviour is to unplug the HomePod Mini. Then everything goes back to normal.

sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder

sudo dscacheutil -flushcache
