moving music to a new Mac

How can I get my playlists transferred to new iMac? All the songs are there, but none of my playlists.

See Move your iTunes/Music library to a new computer - Apple Community. In general you want to copy the Music Library.musiclibrary database, not just the media files. Playlists are in the database.

I would like to get my Music playlists transferred to a new MacBook. I have an older MacBook Pro (2012) and this newer one (2021). I am not subscribed to Apple Music nor wish to be. I did not get help syncing these two devices as I did not begin regularly using this newer MacBook Pro until a few months ago. I am having an issue with getting my Music playlists to transfer to the newer MacBook. My Music content is available on the newer MacBook but not the playlists so does that mean they are synced? (The newer MacBook does not offer a "sync Library" box in Music settings.) I would like to get my Music playlists transferred to the new MacBook. Thank you.

importing itunes library / playlists to apple music (MBP 17-inch to MBP Retina 15 inch) I have an older (mid 2010 MacOS High Sierra 10.13.6) mbp that I would like to move the music / playlists from to a newer (2015/MacOS Big Sur 11.6) model. I've seen multiple tutorials and there I'm trying to make sense of it. Would prefer to do so as efficiently as possible so any thoughts / advice would be much appreciated. Attached are screenshots of current file structures. The first screenshot (user jonathancarlisle) is the old computer and the second screenshot is the new one. Not sure if I should try and export the library from the old computer (iTunes) and import it into the new one (Music). I have very few video files, most everything is audio/mp3.

Apple Music - playlist problems Hello - All of my playlists are empty. I am moving my music library from a older mac mini to a new mac mini M2. I created a new library, and imported the songs into it. The new library is synced with my apple ID and it downloaded all of the playlists from my old version, but they are all empty. I have hard copies of almost all of the songs for use off-line I have tried moving individual playlists from itunes on the old mac to Music on the new mini but these also show up as empty. I have tried .txt and .xml versions with no luck I have created test playlists from the new library, exported them, and then re-imported them also with no luck. Could the size of library be the issue? There are 60,000+ songs, and about 200 playlists, I have a very slow internet connection and Music is sloooowly updating to the Cloud Music library. Thank you
