numbers icon is not on my mac

Numbers (and Pages and Keynote) can be downloaded from the Mac App Store if they are not available / installed on your Mac.

The Mac App Store can be accessed anytime from the Apple menu.

Do you mean not on your Dock? Have a look in the Applications folder to see if it is there. If it is, then you can drag it onto the Dock.

If you do a Spotlight Search on "Numbers.app" and it is found, you won't have to download again because it's already there. It's easy to accidentally remove the icon from the dock. That icon is just a shortcut to the file, not the file itself.

Click on Numbers.app in the results of the search and it will appear again on the Dock. Then Click and Hold the icon in the Dock and choose options > Keep in Dock
