I’m trying to use an old Apple TV box, however I’ve not been able to sign into my iCloud or account with it - I’ve reset my password I’ve done the thing with adding a verification code to the end of my password but to no success - could this just be a case of the box not being supported anymore? I’m on iOS 17.2 and doing this all from an iPhone as I don’t have a Mac or anything like that. Thanks in advance for your help!
That may not be possible anymore. iCloud is now listed as for tvOS 17, although select features can work on prior versions, as listed. System requirements for iCloud - Apple Support
OS 16.2 or later: Advanced Data Protection for iCloud - Apple Support. ADP breaks compatibility with older software.
iCloud on Apple TV (3rd generation) was previously used often for My Photo Stream, which now has been discontinued (2023-07). Not sure what else you would have liked to do for iCloud services on a legacy Apple TV.
You may have to live with just your Store sign-in, and without iCloud services.

I see, thanks for your help. I didn’t have many expectations of what I’d be able to use it for but I guess it was unreasonable to expect more functionality.
