Log into Game Center

My Game Center Apple ID is one that has been deleted by someone in my house "helping me." It is one of Apple's old legacy domains, <me.com>, and once deleted, it can no longer be accessed or reactivated.

I want to change it to my primary <gmail.com> Apple ID, but I cannot find a way to do so in the community answers since I cannot sign into my Game Center account.

My appleid will not update an app. It goes to the originator appleid. How can I change that I'm trying to get an app on my appleid. However, when I try to get the app, it defaults to the old appleid. How can I change it?
