I just purchased an IMac OS Sonoma. I had a 2014 previously and created movies on it. I now need to get a compatible DVD burner software that I can use on my new computer. Any suggestions? I need to have one that is good but not hard to figure out.
I doubt it is the best one, but the one I use is absolutely simple to use. and it's free. I use Burn.
that is why I like Burn. it does that, and is totally FREE. :)
If you want to create a video DVD that will play in DVD players you'll need a video DVD creation tool.
I don't have Sonoma but have tried the demo versions of:
1 - DVD Maker Lite - DVD Creator (accepts both still photos and videos)
2 - DVD Creator Pro - Video Movie Burn to DVD Lite (accepts only videos)
3 - DVD Creator Deluxe (accepts only videos)
The demo versions put a watermark over the final presentation but you'll be able to text them out to see which will suit your needs.
Personally, I prefer DVD Maker Lite - DVD Creator as I use photos more than videos in making video DVDs. BUT, non are as intuitive and easy to use as iDVD.
I make videos all the time using my HD camera. The quickest for me is to use Roxio Toast which can also burn Blu-Ray videos.

Addendum: there are many other apps in the App Store for creating video DVDs. Just search for video dvd.
Do you want best or simplest? You cannot have both! Why not. Just right click the file and select “Burn to Disk”?
