Why did Apple disable Apple Music on the web?

Apple has disabled apple music on the web. Used to be able to listen to my playlists using Edge on Windows 10. Now it just shows "preview" for music not in a playlist. For music in a playlist it just shows a popup saying the music is no longer available to be played on the web you have to download and use an "app" to a "device". Not much a music "service". I guess I'll try amazon music and see if that is any more like a real music service.

In the upper right of my web page it does not have the Sign In button, but does have my user icon showing that I am signed in and if I click it, I get the option to Sign Out.

There was an outage today that affected some users, but the article did not specifically discuss web service. It has since been resolved.

I give up! You know, they've made it so difficult for just plain users. I JUST tossed my cookies in my browser and signed in - again. After the login dialog disappeared I was still looking at a red banner across the bottom of the window telling me all about apple music with a white button on the right end with the words Try It Now. My playlists were not there. So instead of using the red Sign In button on the upper right of the display (what's it there for if it does not work?) I tried clicking on the Try It Now button. Keep in mind I had already signed in using the Sign In button. When I clicked the Try It Now button another dialog appeared with the Apple Music Icon (A music note on a red square) and the words "You're already a subscriber" and a Done button. So, of course I clicked on the Done button only to be returned to the same window. The red Sign In button is still in the upper right hand corner and the red banner with the Try It button is still on the bottom of the window. My playlists are not there.
