I just signed up for Apple TV to get a particular movie that was NOT in that database. I am OLD and do not need another paid service.

You can use this link to cancel on the internet and should work even with an old computer.
You didn’t need to sign up to browse the database. Search is available without subscribing.
You can cancel the same way as how you signed up, or in several other ways. E.g., if you started a subscription in the app on your smart TV, then you can also cancel there: in Settings. Manage subscriptions in the Apple TV app - Apple Support
