Would I need the latest Xcode to create a private app?

Hi, if I want to create a private iOS app (latest version of iOS), then would I need the latest version of Xcode as well or can I still use previous versions?

I’m not quite sure what you mean by “private iOS app”. That could mean something you’re using for yourself entirely locally, or an app that is unlisted and not openly published, or potentially a B2B app.

Apple requires particular versions of Xcode for app store submissions whether the app is published or unlisted or B2B, but you can use whatever macOS and Xcode combination works for your own local activities outside the app store.

The number of devices and installs permitted and the duration of the app installs is fairly limited for the non-paid tier developer enrollments.
