Read Only Notes - Edit Protection

Aside from locking a note, is there a way to make the note protected from accidental editing by making it Read Only?

Are locked notes viewable while locked?

Sorry. I do not know whether there is a way to make a note "Read Only" or not.

In the Notes app, you can open a note in the Pages app and continue working.

You can also export the note as a PDF or print the note.

Yes and No!

Yes: Seems you first set a password, or use Face ID, touch ID so that you can view locked notes.

No: If you forget the password, there does not seem to be any way to view the locked note without it.

(You can reset your custom password, but this doesn’t give you access to previously locked notes.)
