How to LIMIT BANDWIDTH in a Mac?

When I use my Mac to upload some heavy video (it's my job) no one else in the house can use internet. No Netflix, no emerald... even Alexa stops working. Is there a way to stop my ;ac from using all available bandwidth? Can I set a maximum?
