I have about 20 blank message windows that have opened and can't close them. I quit Mail and then relaunched it, but these windows keep popping open, with no content and no message headers.
I ran disk utility hoping to fix the issue but still happening. Do I have to reinstall?
I am running Sonoma 14.3.

I have the same problem. Using MacOS 13.6.1 (22G313)
It is a **** nuisance and time wasting.
Likewise, I ran disk utility. It did not sort out the issue.
I have spoken to apple help- who suggested update to latest OS, but that clearly has not worked.
Does anyone know how to fix this problem?
Yeah, I'm already updated to Sonoma 14.3. Maybe that's the problem.
I wonder if I have to uninstall/reinstall Apple Mail. But worried about losing all of my email messages.
You would need to ensure you backed up first. Worth a try. I think mail retains your information when you uninstall, but do back up in case it is lost.
