M1 Pro macbook pro 4k 240hz OLED?
I'm interested in this ALIENWARE 32 4K QD-OLED GAMING MONITOR - AW3225QF monitor. I wonder if my m1 pro macbook pro support 4k 240hz with the included macbook thunderbolt port?

I got the Aorus FO32U2P and a MacBook with the M3 Max and I was able to get 4k @ 240Hz over usb c to DP cable and usb c to usb c cable. Cables are from Ugreen and Uni respectively. Not sure if the M1 Pro can do it but since it also has Thunderbolt 4 ports it may support it. The ALIENWARE may support this as well.

Higher than 4K at 120 Hz is not attainable using ONE DisplayPort or Thunderbolt Port. Data rates are just too high.
MacBook Pro M1 from before 2023 features only HDMI 2.0, good for up to 4K at 60 Hz, not higher.
MacBook Pro M2 from 2023 onward features support for DIRECT HDMI 2.1, good for 4K at up to 240 Hz (but NO adapters).
Two cable solutions can be used to split the display onto two cables, then re-assemble the two half-displays into one coherent picture using Picture-By-Picture feature in advanced displays.
I have this monitor and i only get 120hz with thunderbolt to DP cable...

Different model MacBook Pro, different capabilities.
M2 and later (expect M2 (plain) have improved display capabilities, especially improved HDMI 2.1
I have the same monitor and Macbook Pro M1 Max. I only get 120Hz max via USB C cable! I get max 165hz via USB-C cable on my work laptop (Fujitsu)!
