Impossible to get unwanted call identification/blocking to work with any app!

I've tried them all. None of the apps can recognize incoming calls. It seems that the "call identification apps" function is not working in my iPhone. All calls go through and are not identified. Please help me because I am being bombarded by phone SPAM.

This one is telows, but i've tryed 10 similia apps. Nothing do to.

I've just found a new feature with the 17.3 update. Telemarketing calls are now often identified as "telemarketing" in caller ID. I don't answer. But later, in the Recents screen, I can swipe left on the call to reveal the "!" In the orange box. If I tap it, one of my choices is Report Junk. I am hoping this will be helpful for both of us.

If your iPhone is not updated to 17.3, select Settings > General > Software Update then follow the prompts to update. Please let us know if that helps. I'll be keeping an eye on it, too.

Any help?

You mentioned earlier- "None of the apps can recognize incoming calls." The feature I described is a feature of Apple. It is not an anti spam app. It is not a third party app, like the others you have tried. If you have a problem with an app, you should contact the developer. If it is Apple that is not recognizing calls, then contact Apple support.

I don't have a problem with apps I have a problem with iOS. The incoming call detection system on any anti-spam app doesn't work for me. Let me say it more clearly, I don't know how to say it :(

It's not a problem of understanding which call is spam or not. It's a problem that the calls are not identified as if there is no anti-spam app installed.

That's so cool! I hadn't noticed that before. Thanks!

Actually, I did just double check. I had forgotten that I had my carriers call filtering app on my phone. If I turn it off, that does go away. So, yes, it is a function of the call filtering app.

I would delete any filtering apps you have, restart your phone and try a different one. NoMoRoBo is one I've had success with. If your carrier happens to be Verizon, download theirs.

I've tryed 5 different app. Restarting and uninstalling. Nothing to do.

I've found this, seems a common bug. But no help at all

Our latest update on iOS can experience issues with enabling and/or updating. We have been in communication with Apple and this is a known bug with them.

Apple offered a workaround that seems to work (and it doesn’t require an uninstall of Hiya which would cause you to lose your blocklist).

So, if you are experiencing issues after updating to the latest version, please try this:

Wait more than one hour after the app gets into a bad state. This can take up to 12-24 hours. Reboot the phone, then try to enable the app again and it should correct itself.

We've been told it can take as long as 2-3 days for the phone to finally register the app. The only thing to do is wait and keep trying the above steps periodically.
