There were some problems with some Apple websites earlier today. I'm not sure if it may be related to what you saw. You may want to see if the following works: Update macOS on Mac - Apple Support

instead of the Monterey link.

Personally (and this is not an area I have expertise in) I wouldn't spend any money on a 2015 MacBook Pro, due to the fact that it cannot be upgraded beyond Monterey and due to the fact that their value on one site that I trust for buying and selling used Macs is only between $134 and $250.

Thanks, appreciate your quick response. Couple of follow up questions if you could help:

a) I used the link to get macOS monterey, and once I clicked 'Get' it continues to run 'Finding update' but is not finding it and continues to run. I did check I have sufficient hard disk space.

b) I do have an issue with the batter, it is upto 905 count and maximum is 1,000 count and I do have a Service Recommendation. I checked apple support site and the cost is $249 for a replacement. Is that a reasonable price, any other recommendations?

Thanks a lot for your help !!

Thanks for your prompt response. The download worked, I wasn't logged in as the admin, once I did it went through.

On battery, agree spending ~ $200 is not worth it, can you let me know the site you use for buying/selling. Once this machine dies I may buy an inexpensive Mac. Any recommendation there, basically will be using for some excel, docs, teams calls, email and browsing, nothing fancy. If you prefer you can respond to me on my personal email: **** I recently started using a Mac and like it better than a PC.

Thanks again.
