backup icloud with broken screen

I obliterated my phone screen and I need to backup my icloud for the remainder of items on my old phone.

I had seen options to backup the icloud using a lightning USB cable keyboard. But I believe this option is only available for the older models that have the physical home button.

Please someone that has another option to be able to retrieve my data, I need help :(

You may not like the answers you're being given, but that doesn't mean they are wrong. They just aren't what you were hoping to hear. The reality is and always has been that backups MUST happen before catastrophe strikes. By your own admission, you didn't back up and your phone is now destroyed. You won't find a way to backup a destroyed iPhone, no matter how many YouTube videos you watch. It just doesn't work that way.

how was that comment helpful?

Please tell me how it wasn't helpful.

Please tell me how you're going to back up a phone ituens when it requires to trust the pc on the phone screen.

please tell me how you're going to back up your phone to icloud when it needs to be connected to wifi, connected to power source and locked.

So my comment stands it too late to backup your data as it should be done on a regular basis and not in time of crisis.

common sense!!!

I've seen from the older posts from years prior that there is an option and it's been successful for a lot of users.

This is not correct.

If you think that there is any chance that you will be able to back up the data on a phone that is not operating correctly, you are completely misinformed.

You won't find the answer that you are looking for on this site......or any other site.

Take the phone to an authorized Apple service shop to confirm that what we say is true, helpful or not.

It appears that your idea of a helpful answer is one that somehow miraculously fixes a broken phone.

Given that criteria, I am afraid that you are not going to receive any helpful answers.

I didn't come on this forum to just accept that fact I can't backup the data. I've seen from the older posts from years prior that there is an option and it's been successful for a lot of users. Clearly you don't have the answer for an updated version to backup data with a broken screen and that's fine.

Just say you don't know, its loud and clear.

Whatever best of luck to you. You have no clue how backup works. Keep fishing for your resolution you'll end up skunking.

Update: I was able to backup all my data, with the all the research I did :)

Thank you guys for the lovely comments, appreciate the help tho <3

This is certainly remarkable. Even the Genius Bar at an Apple Store likely couldn't pull this off. Why not do other users a HUGE favor and detail exactly how you managed to do this? I'll never say something is impossible, but you have managed to do something which comes very close to that.

Thanks and congratulations, btw. Users will be anxiously waiting to learn how you managed to do this.
