iPhone not charging correctly.

Basically my phone charger started acting weird recently so I used a new one and they both had the same effect. I had to push them in to charge, no big deal to me! Then pushing them in stops working and I have to keep plugging it in multiple times (sometimes once or twice but sometimes like 14 times) and it’s really annoying, i’ve tried every youtube video about this and none of them have worked, do I just need a new charger?? The second one I got was my brothers old one. Today I shut my phone down (like sleep mode) and I turned it back on and my phone wasn’t charging anymore, I can move the phone all around once the charger works, I dropped it once while it was charging (after this already started happening) and it didn’t stop it from charging. So why did it stop charging once I put it in sleep mode? Has anyone else experienced this? How did you fix it?
