How to unblock a number that is in my contacts on iPhone

Great question...

First, find the person that you want to unblock in your contacts and send them an iMessage. From this point, click on their name at the top and you will see an "Info" tab. Click on this "Info" tab , then scroll down to the bottom and unblock this caller.

Hello... If you know the person you want to unblock, then iMessage them from your iPhone, now click on their icon "Name" at the top of the screen, this will bring up a screen about the contact person's information. You will see "CALL - VIDEO - MAIL - INFO" tabs. At this point click on "INFO". Now scroll down to the bottom and you will see "UNBLOCK CALLER".

Does it say "Block this Caller" in contacts? If so, then they are not actually blocked.

My experience is that a key point is to go to "Contacts" directly, select the person you want, and then you'll see the Unblock option, NOT to the little circled "i" in the top right corner of the address card info that is in the list of blocked callers. This means you first have to create an address card for the person/phone number, save it, and then go back to the Contacts tab and to the person there to see the option to Unblock.

Unblock a phone number in messages

When you block a number it will have unblock in contacts. Pull the name or number in contacts and if is a blocked number it will say unblock. Just tap on unblock and the number is no longer blocked. It will say blocked when you do that. Strangely, it will say block. Meaning the contact is not block. To block it back you tap block and tap the next to words that come up. Now it is blocked again.

It’s not simple if you have thousands of blocked contacts. The problem statement is simple. When I go to my contacts list I do not have the option to block or unblock the caller when I select edit. How can I see this option when I bring up my contacts list?

My husband and I cannot receive the six digit number from different vendors when they went when they were trying to get make sure we are the right person with the right phone. This has been going on for 6 to 9 months and it is driving us crazy we cannot receive any numbers. We both have separate numbers, but we cannot receive any numbers to make sure they know it’s us. What do we do? What do we do? It’s so hard I’m 78 and I don’t know what to do. Please help.

Some of my contacts can call me but others say it goes straight to voicemail and their not blocked, why are my calls going to voicemail, and some just disconnect and they can’t text me either, please help
