This process should be done in the background right after installation not when I click and need to use the App. It kills 5 minutes of my life I'll never get back. There has to be a fix for this. Is it the same on a PC. This is a MAJOR OVERSIGHT. Please correct. I avoid using MS Office programs because of this. The updates are constant and this is an unceasing annoyance.

If you are suggesting an enhancement to macOS, send that to Apple.

Xcode is an example of this particular case from Apple; where the first open is slow.
