Widgets from desktop of Mac mini with macOS Sonoma Disappeared.

They started working again after a while and a couple of updates (I'm on Sonoma 14.5).

i thought I had fixed the problem, but the fix was only temporary. From trial and error, I have found out that when rebooting my Mac, the widgets reappear. They appear to stay on until the Mac goes to sleep; and when it comes back to life they’ve disappeared and won’t reappear until the next reboot.

i hope Apple figures what’s going on and comes up with a fix. I take it that not many Mac users are using the widgets, otherwise we’d be seeing a lot more complaints about this problem on this site. And until more people complain, I doubt that this problem will be reach Apple’s radar.

I know it, because it now works for me—I certainly don’t know what’s causing this problem. Good luck in waiting to hear back from Apple…

Though I said that the widgets now work for me, if I try to access my spaces by displaying the bar at the top of the screen that shows all the available spaces, then the widgets disappear and I then have to reboot to get them to appear again. On the other hand, if I switch to a space using the keyboard shortcut, the widgets do not disappear, so that’s my workaround.

The widgets appeared after updating to macOS 14.3, but a few minutes later they disappeared again. I'm using multiple spaces (e.g., desktops), I'm wondering if that has something to do with the widgets disappearing.
