Upgrading from iMac to Mac Studio

I am upgrading from a 2012 vintage iMac 27" to a Mac Studio. Is the best way to transfer old files, pictures, videos thru Migration Assistant or through iCloud? Current iMac is fragile.

The fastest and most reliable way to migrate, is to connect your old iMac’s Time Machine backup drive to the Mac Studio when prompted during the initial setup.

If you've been making clone backups instead of Time Machine ones, an external disk containing a bootable clone backup will also work.
