Watsapp voice notes delay

Whenever i send a voice message on whatsapp, it takes around 3-4 seconds to start recording, the quality of the audio being quite terrible and incomprehensible.

By far, there is no solution found online to this problem. Help!!

Mic not responding for messaging The mic is on toggle green. If I press the mic icon on iMessage or WhatsApp it does not respond.
