macOS13 Ventura driver(s) for Samsung CLX-6260FW Multifunction Color laser Printer

After updating from Catalina to Ventura my CLX-6260FW does not interface well anymore.

It is connected by USB, not wifi.

I downloaded and tried CLX-6260_Series_Mac_Driver_V5.05.00.dmg.

It is confusing to use and does not work.

The printer is great however and I hope there is a way for me to keep using it.

Hi,

The driver that you mentioned appears to be for macOS 10.15 Catalina.

For macOS 13 Ventura, you may want to try V5.06.04.

Also, although not listed in (the 23 January, 2024 en-us edition of) About AirPrint - Apple Support, the CLX-6260FW seems to support AirPrint, at least according to the product specifications. If so, printing should even work without additional drivers, provided that the printer and the Mac are connected to the same network (Wi-Fi router). However, it may be an early AirPrint/firmware version.

AirPrint as such can be used with wireless (Wi-Fi) or wired (Ethernet) network connections. If necessary, you could perhaps carry out a few tests with AirPrint (for example, with the printer wired by Ethernet to one of the LAN ports of a Wi-Fi router).
