Missing Lens Information on Photos App and iCloud Photos but EXIF Data Has Lens Information

Hello,

Recently, I've gone through and consolidated ALL my photos from an old iMac (when I used Aperture and iPhoto), a couple of old Windows laptops, hard drives, etc. etc. I've consolidated them all into my Apple Photos library. With this, I've run into a couple of issues.

Issue #1

On many of my photos on my iPad and iPhone, when I pull up the photo information, on the iOS Photos app, it says "No Lens Information". Most of these photos were taken with a D90 and various lenses over the years. I also have a D300 that I used over this same time period, and many of those photos show the lens information with no issue. If I open any photo, regardless of camera or lens, with an EXIF editor on my iPad, it shows in the "Camera Lens Model" field that the name of the lens is there. So I'm not sure why some photos will display the lens model, and some don't?

Related Issue #2

Since 2017 I've been using a D500 and many different lenses. Today, if I take my memory card and upload the files directly to Photos from my SD card from the D500 the lens information shows on every photo on the iOS app. However, when I open the detailed information from the iCloud photos from the web, it says No Lens Information. I've attached 2 sample screen shots and you can see, these are the same photo. If I download the photo from iCloud on a Windows PC and then upload the file BACK to my iPad and open with the EXIF editor, the lens information is still there???

What's even more strange, is that using the EXIF editor, I manually changed the name of the lens on a photo to “Made Up Lens” and saved it, after syncing it will show the lens information on the web!

Question.

Has anyone else exprerienced this issue? Is there a way I can download my entire library and have a script update the EXIF lens information so that iCloud/Photos can read it consistently?
