Macbook Pro 15" 2012 connecting w. Apple Studio Display

I have an "old" Macbook Pro "15" from 2012 with 2 Thunderbolt ports, USB-A, HDMI port. Trying to connect to my Studio Display 2022 using an Apple Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) to Thunderbolt 2 adapter. Doesn't work so far. Any ideas? Thanks.

Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) to Thunderbolt 2 Adapter not working with MacMini According to this product page this should allow my Thunderbolt 27" studio display to work with my MacMini 2020 but it doesn't work. Is there something I am missing? Mac mini works with a non apple display via HDMI. adapter works with MacBookPro 2019.

2025 Macbook Air Compatibility with 2015 Thunderbolt display Purchasing a new macbook air but would like to continue to use 2015 Thunderbolt Display. Currently have 3 usb A ports (powered) in use on displaty, and an ethernet port in use on the display. Macbook connects to TB Display with thunderbolt 2 port. Would it be as simple as using an adapter ? if so which one? Appreciate the help.
