Why isn't the use of Security Keys supported by Apple Vision Pro?

"Security Keys for Apple ID aren’t supported on Apple Vision Pro – you can reset this Apple Vision Pro and use your iPhone or iPad to set it up without requiring the use of a Security Key. Otherwise, you must sign in with a different account that doesn’t use Security Keys for Apple ID."

How to solve the "password lockout" problem in April 2024? Yesterday I was given an Apple Vision Pro, but my joy didn't last long: after 15 minutes AVP required me to enter passcode (instead of Optic ID), but the password I created didn't work for some reason. I couldn't have forgotten it, because it's the same as on my Iphone. This problem can be solved by visiting the Apple Store. But I'm not in the US and I'm not likely to be able to get there. I worked with Apple Support and got this resolved. The problem was the device management on the iPhone. I switched to using my iPad instead, and the setup worked perfectly.
