Apple id - stolen phone

Last week, someone stole my phone and the first thing that I did was to block via the ICloud. After blocking the phone I disconnected my Apple ID from the stolen phone but unfortunately I forgot to delete/erase the phone.

I am wondering if a) can they still use the phone and the apps that were installed. B) can they still check photos and any other information ? C) if they don’t have my Apple ID anymore installed of the phone, what they can do with the phone ?

A) They can not use the apps on the phone

B) They will not be able to check photos or any other information

C) They can use the phone after it is wiped of all your data

Your phone will still be locked with your passcode and they will not be able to get in to view your data. They will be able to reset the passcode, but this will require the device to be wiped of all data first. After they wipe all the data to reset the passcode, they will then be able to use the phone as theirs, but none of your data will be on the phone any longer.

Thank you for the quick reply Mac Jim. The only missing information that I forgot to add is that when the phone was stole from me, it was unblocked since I was typing someone and I think they were able to keep it unblocked for a certain time because I saw later that they tried to change my email password.

I was very worried by the fact that I didn’t erase the iPhone completely, only blocked and log off my Apple ID from it but after your reply I feel relief that they are not going to have access to my information
