how can I retrieve deleted text messages

I have an I Phone someone deleted a important text. How can I retrieve it?

You can retrieve messages deleted within the last 30 days if your phone is running iOS 16 or iOS 17.

Tap to open Messages

Tap Edit in the upper left corner of the screen

Tap Show Recently Deleted
