can get Calendar on my Iphone to sync with Family Icloud calendar

I have been using the standard “calendar on my IPhone” for years. I just turned on ICloud and want to sync the calendar on my IPhone with the family ICloud calendar so I can share it with my partner, but the two won’t sync. Is there any way to do this or even share the calendar on my iPhone ?
